Install rear fender - AR63.50-P-1400-04CW

  1. Install rear fender (1), liftgate, taillamp and rubber seal and fit.
  2. Check gaps using SPECIAL TOOL feeler gauge and adjust.
  3. Fix rear fender (1) in place.
  4. Remove liftgate, taillamp and rubber seal.
  5. Drill rivet holes in rear fender (1) with 6.5 mm dia. bit (areas E and L1 ).
  6. Countersink rivet holes on rear fender (1) (areas E and L 1 ).
  7. Remove rear fender (1)
  8. Deburr rivet holes on rear fender (1) on both sides.
  9. Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.
  10. Install rubber window spacers from glazing repair kit as spacers on rear fender, at uniform intervals (area S).
  11. Apply sealant to outer rear wheel well, C-pillar and foam rubber elements (areas Q, R and S).

    IMPORTANT Damaged foam parts must be removed and replaced.

  12. Install rear fender (1), fit and fix in place
  13. Rivet rear fender (1) with Polyygrip ø 6.4 x 14 countersunk-head rivet (area E).
  14. Rear fender (1) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas D, F, G and H).
  15. Weld in rear fender (1) with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas A and C).

    IMPORTANT Inert gas weld in intervals, allow to cool down in between to minimize heat distortion (areas A and C).

  16. Rear fender (1) SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD (area D1 ).

  17. Rivet rear fender (1) with Polyygrip Ø 6.4 x 14 countersunk-head rivet (area L1 ).
  18. Rear fender (1) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas I, J, K and L2 ).

  19. Clean welds on rear fender (1).
  20. Grind rear fender (1) down flat in cross-hatched areas.
  21. Finish surface on rear fender (1), fill and smooth.
  22. Remove drill shavings.
