REPAIR MATERIALS

BR00.45-Z-1001-07A Zinc dust paint suitable for spot welding A 000 986 34 42
  1. Mark separation point and cut with body saw (area A).
  2. Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld cutter (area B).
  3. Remove C-pillar outer section

    IMPORTANT Remove water drain hose underneath.

  4. Mark separation point and separate using a body saw (area F).
  5. Expose weld spots and mill off using a spot weld cutter (areas C, D, E and G).

  6. Mark separation point and cut with body saw (area H).
  7. Expose weld spots and mill off using a spot weld cutter (areas I, J and K).
  8. Remove inner C-pillar section at top.
  9. Grind open weld seams (area N).
  10. Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld cutter (areas L and M).
  11. Heat up adhesive seam using a hot air blower (area H1).
  12. Completely remove C-pillar.

  13. Grind connection surfaces down to bare metal in shaded areas. Sand spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides

  14. Grind connection surfaces down to bare metal in shaded areas. Sand spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides
  15. Remove grinding and drilling chips with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  16. Coat insides of spot welding flanges and riveted joint with zinc dust paint.
