REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/Install     
NOTES While working on the rear axle care must be taken to ensure that the surface of all aluminum components do not get any scratches, cracks and notches. Otherwise the service life of the parts will be affected    
1 Remove rear wheels    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary   AP40.10-P-4050Z
2.1 Remove spring link (6) Vehicles with Airmatic (semi-active air suspension), code 489a. AR35.20-P-0114I 
    with Active Body Control (ABC) code 487a. AR35.20-P-0114N 
3 Remove supporting joint (7a) from wheel carrier (7)   AR35.20-P-0116-01I 
    SPECIAL TOOL Extraction and insertion tool Figure
4 Install in the reverse order
