REPAIR MATERIALS

IMPORTANT Use new bolts.

  1. Clean the sealing surface on the end cover (54) and rear axle center assembly housing and then coat with sealing compound.
  2. Fit end cover (54).
  3. Rear axle center assembly with bolts with captive washers 

    1. Mount combination bolts and tighten using SPECIAL TOOL torque wrench TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
    2. Shown on rear axle center assembly with flange bolts

    3. Tighten flange bolts using SPECIAL TOOL torque wrench after 1st. 1st stage TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
  4. Mark bolt flanges relative to rear axle center assembly housing (a).
  5. Put markings (b) on rear axle center assembly housing offset by 45°.
  6. Tighten flange bolts with 45° swing angle after 2nd. stage.

    IMPORTANT The markings (a, b) should coincide The tightening angle can also be checked using a commercially available angle tester.
