- Voltage okay
Extending and retracting rear window blind
The electric blind for the rear window can be controlled with the switch for the rear blind (N72/1s9). This switch is located on the upper control panel control module (N72/1):
- When the top half of the switch is pressed the blind extends out of the rear shelf
- When the bottom half of the switch is pressed the blind retracts.
The rear window blind motor (M24) operates infinitely as long as the switch is pressed. This allows the blind to be stopped in any desired position.
Control
The rear window blind motor (M24) is controlled by the rear SAM control module (N10/8) via the rear window blind relay (K40/5kQ) .
The rear window blind relay (K40/5kQ) is a pole reversal relay. This relay has two coils. The polarity and therefore direction of rotation of the motor depends on the coil presently actuated.
The rear SAM control module (N10/8) requires the following information for control of the motor:
- Status of c. 15 R. This information comes from the electronic ignition/starter switch control module (N73) via the CAN bus (passenger compartment).
- Status of rear blind switch (N72/1s9) . This information comes from the upper control panel control module (N72/1) via the CAN bus (passenger compartment).
The maximum time for actuation of the motor in one direction is 15 seconds. If the rear blind switch (N72/1s9) is pressed for longer than 15 seconds, the rear SAM control module (N10/8) switches off the motor via the relay.
