- Disconnect sound amplifier connector housing (A2/13).
- Unlock connector housing and remove white insert (ws) from sound amplifier connector housing (A2/13).
- Insert new M2 fiber optic cable module (new) with white insert (ws) into sound amplifier connector housing (A2/13), lock housing and reconnect.
Observe special routing guidelines for fiber optic cables.
- Unlock new connector housing for CD changer (A2/6) and insert red insert (rd) from new M2 fiber optic cable module (new) into CD changer (A2/6) connector housing. Insert white insert (ws) from M3 fiber optic cable module into CD changer (A2/6) connector housing and lock connector housing. Connect connector housing to CD changer (A2/6).
- Route fiber optic cable along existing lines while observing special routing guidelines and fasten with adhesive felt.
- Route wiring harness (power supply) CD changer (1) from trunk to wire passage in rear wall along existing wiring harnesses and continue routing to left rear wiring duct. Connect brown lead (br) from power supply wiring harness to ground in trunk, left wheelhouse (W6).
- Route power supply wiring harness (1) in left wiring duct toward front and insert into existing wiring duct in direction of driver's footwell along inner rocker panel.
- Solder blue/black lead (bl/sw) from wiring harness power supply (1/2) to blue/black lead (bl/sw) on end sleeve (Z35/10) for wakeup signal using solder connector.
Solder red/yellow lead (rt/ge) from wiring harness power supply (1/2) to red/yellow lead (rt/ge) on end sleeve (Z4/3) of circuit 30 using solder connector.
