	Remove
1	Remove front seats	To prevent the airbag system from being damaged  in the seat, and because the center console has to be removed, the gear lever has to be in position N,  the ignition key in position 0,  and then the ground wire at the battery has to be disconnected  before the electrical connector is disconnected at the seat. ↓

		Disconnect ground cable of battery	AR54.10-P-0003I
2	Remove cover on center console

3	Remove center console
			AR68.20-P-2000N
4	Remove rear seat cushion
			AR91.12-P-1020N
5	Remove rear backrest
6	Remove side wall paneling	Right and left side.
			AR68.30-P-1450N
7	Remove floor covering in rear
			AR68.20-P-4800N
8	Unscrew screws (41) from left and right reinforcement struts (42) and remove reinforcement strut (42)
9	Pull out center rear ventilation duct (43) towards the back from the center front ventilation ducts (46)
10	Pull out center front ventilation ducts (46) towards the back from the blower box
11	Pull out left rear ventilation duct (44), and right rear ventilation duct (54) towards the back from the left and right front ventilation ducts
12	Unclip Bowden cable of park pawl (47) from center front cable duct cover (48)	Do not adjust or damage Bowden cable of park pawl (47).
13	Unclip center front cable duct cover (48) and remove
14	Open center cable ducts (45) on left and right
15	Open rear cable duct on left (49), right (59)
16	Fold back insulating mat under right rear seat cushion and unscrew nuts (4, 5) and screw (7)
17	Remove control unit carrier (8) from body	Do not disconnect electrical couplings.
18	Unscrew the two fastening nuts of the rear fuse and relay module (K40/5) and remove rear fuse and relay module (K40/5) from the vehicle floor	The rear fuse and relay module (K40/5) is mounted directly under the control unit carrier (8) on the vehicle floor. Do not disconnect electrical couplings.
19	Remove coverings in trunk	Left side paneling and on rear wall If a side lining is installed without access door for the CD changer, then it has to be replaced with one that has an access door.

	Install
20	Retrofit fiber optic wiring harness		AN82.70-P-0002-01NB
	Cover fiber optic cable	Do not kink or stretch D2B fiber optic cable.  Install cover caps on optical waveguide connector and equipment connection.	AR82.95-P-0005-01A
21	Retrofit CD changer in trunk		AN82.64-P-0001-04NA
22	Fit remaining parts to vehicle	Steps 19 to 1
23	Conduct startup with STAR DIAGNOSIS
24	Check for proper function	See owner's manual.
25	Add special equipment entry to the vehicle data card and to online vehicle data card	6-disk CD changer (code 819).
