REMOVINGINSTALLING Removing, installing     
DANGER Risk of explosion  from fuel igniting, risk of poisoning  from inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury  to eyes and skin from contact with fuel. No fire, sparks, naked flame and smoking
Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked vessels
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel

1 Remove trim panel (1) of intake manifold/fuel rail IMPORTANTRemoval: 
Pull trim panel off the rubber mounts (arrow).
IMPORTANTInstallation: 
Moisten rubber mounts (arrow) lightly with lubricant
 
2 Release fuel pressure through service valve (1/1) at fuel rail (17) IMPORTANT
Unscrew cap.
Collect fuel.

3 Unbolt fuel feed line (17/2) IMPORTANT
Collect fuel.
 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA07.52-P-1002-01B 
4 Pull off connector terminal (2) of injectors (Y62) NOTESRemoval: 
Take off connector terminal carefully (risk of fracturing).
 
5 Unplug connector of camshaft position sensor    
6 Remove screws (17/1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA07.52-P-1001-01B 
7 Lift fuel rail (17) evenly off intake manifold (19) together with injectors (Y62) NOTESInstallation: 
Inspect O-rings for damage.
Lightly moisten O-rings with lubricant
 
INSPECT Inspecting     
8 Inspect fuel injectors (Y62) NOTES  
    If injectors faulty: ↓  
    Remove injectors. AR07.03-P-6522GS 
9 Install in the reverse order    
10 Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase IMPORTANT
Stored faults possibly caused by previous simulation or by cables disconnected in the process of installation or testing must be processed and erased in the DTC memories once all work is completed. Refer to: ↓
IMPORTANT STAR DIAGNOSIS.
