SLK32 AMG

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove front wheels.
    2. NOTE: Seal off brake lines immediately with plugs. Brake fluid reservoir must not be allowed to empty.
  2. Remove brake hoses. See BRAKE HOSES  .
  3. Remove spring (31d and arrows). See Fig 1 .
  4. Remove brake pad contact sensor electrical connectors (S10/1x1) from pad contact sensors (S10/1).
  5. Remove brake pad contact sensor electrical connector from brake caliper.
  6. Remove covers (31b) from guide pins.
  7. Remove guide pins (31c).
  8. Remove caliper (31a) with brake pads (31g).
  9. Installation is the reverse of removal. Insert inner brake pad into piston of caliper. Insert outer brake pad into guide of frame and install caliper. When installing brake pad contact sensor connector install a new micro-encapsulated bolt. Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
