Starting point: Vario roof not actuated in open position.

Ignition: ON

Pushing the Vario roof switch to the front actuates the hydraulic unit via the combination control module.

The Vario roof opening sequence is subdivided into 6 steps, steps 4 through 6 being accomplished irrespective of the vehicle speed.

Step 1: Unlock Vario roof.

Unlock and open trunk lid

Roll down front power windows (switch-off with lock-up current)

Step 2: Close Vario roof

Roll down front power windows (switch-off with lock-up current)

Step 3: Lock Vario roof

Close and lock trunk lid

Step 4: Continue locking (for t = 3 s)

Roll up rear power windows (for t = 3 s)

Step 5: Roll up rear power windows (for t = 0.3 s)

Step 6: Roll up front power windows
