SLK230 & SLK320

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove front wheels.
  2. NOTE: Seal off brake lines immediately with plugs. Brake fluid reservoir must not be allowed to empty.
  3. Remove brake hoses. See BRAKE HOSES  .
  4. Remove brake pad contact sensor electrical connectors (S10/1x1) from pad contact sensors (S10/1). See Fig 1 .
  5. Remove brake pad contact sensor electrical connector from brake caliper.
  6. Remove brake caliper bolts (35).
  7. Remove caliper (31a) with caliper support.
  8. Installation is the reverse of removal. When installing brake pad contact sensor connector, replace micro-encapsulated bolt (31e). Torque nuts and bolts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
