Bolted connection of torque strut to wheel carrier modified - BT35.20-P-0006-01A

MODEL 129, 170, 202, 208 as of 1.2.98, 210 as of 1.1.98 

Phased in as of 01/98 or 02/98, the bolted connection of the thrust arm to wheel carrier has been modified.

The M10 hexagon bolt has been changed to an M12 Torx bolt.

The sleeve in the thrust arm rubber mount is no longer used.

The tightening torque of 45 Nm of the M10 bolted connection is increased to 70 Nm  for the new M12  bolted connection.

If a new thrust arm is installed on a previous version of the wheel carrier (attachment bore diameter in wheel carrier approx. 13.5 mm), it is absolutely essential to install the sleeve in the wheel carrier to reduce the diameter to approx. 12.2 mm.
