1. Route the taximeter wiring harness (2) as shown in the diagram along existing cables in the right side of the roof.

2. Undo the 2 rear retaining nuts (arrows) on the right headbag and lift the headbag off its mounting slightly. Feed the taximeter wiring harness (2) through behind the right headbag by the water drain hose (10).

3. Route the taximeter wiring harness (2) behind the headbag unit along the water drain hose (10) and fasten securely with the special adhesive tape (arrow).

   The wiring harness must be fastened with great care in order to avoid rattling noises. Proper functioning of the headbag unit must never be impeded under any circumstances.

4. Route the branch cable to the taximeter separation point (X41/6) as shown in the diagram past the right wing of the rear seat and connect the two larger couplings with the frame floor wiring harness.

5. Route the branch cable from the taximeter wiring harness (2) to the interior rearview mirror as shown in the diagram in the right side of the roof and fasten with the special adhesive tapes provided (arrows).

   The taximeter wiring harness (2) has a white marking (ws). The marking must be close to the front drain hose (11).

6. Reinstall headliner and overhead control panel.
7. Connect microphone (B25/1) to taximeter wiring harness and affix to the overhead control panel as shown in the diagram.
8. Connect up and install new interior rearview mirror unit (A67).
