72 23 ER	Software error in door control unit on passenger side	As of VIN end number 219160, door control units with new software are installed (Q08 and higher).
	When backing into a parking space the outside rearview mirror on the passenger side moves to the park position.	On older vehicles: ↓
	The current driving position is stored before the park position is assumed. This driving position is resumed afterwards.	1.1 Remove/install/replace door control unit on passenger side.	AR72.29-P-1000M
	The position of the mirror is detected by means of a potentiometer (analog signal). To allow the position to be stored in the door control unit, this analog signal must be converted into a digital signal.	Replacing the door control unit will only remedy the problem "Front passenger outside mirror no longer returns precisely to its driving position".
	A certain degree of inaccuracy is associated with this analog/digital conversion. This inaccuracy may increase after several analog/digital conversions.	In the case of complaints, for example: "Front passenger outside mirror moves to limit stop when returning to driving position" or "Front passenger outside mirror moves to a completely implausible position when returning to driving position": ↓
	As a result, the resumed driving position may deviate from the position set by the customer.	1.2 Check outside mirror motor.
		"Front passenger outside mirror stops at park position": ↓ 1.3 Check the following conditions (which have to be fulfilled): Reverse gear should no longer be engaged. Mirror selection switch must be set to front passenger side.
