Retrofitting wiring harness - AN82.61-P-0001-01M
Models 215, 220
- Prepare dynamic guidance wiring harness (1) as shown in figure.
- Tie back tie-out to CTEL interface (A34/4) (no longer required).
- Tie back blue/black (bl/sw) wake-up signal lead (no longer required).
- Route dynamic guidance wiring harness (1) from passenger footwell to center console as shown in figure and fasten with adhesive felt.
- Disconnect connector from navigation processor (A40/3n2), open by pulling cover (D) off of housing (G) and pull out contact carrier.
- Insert the following leads on contact carrier for navigation processor connector (A40/3n2): green (gn) lead from chamber 11 green/white (gn/ws) lead from chamber 24
- Slide contact carrier into connector on navigation processor (A40/3n2) and close connector.
- Cut open standard wiring harness for COMAND operating, display and control module connector (A40/3n1) over length of approx. 100 mm.
- Expose red/yellow (rt/ge) lead and brown (br) lead.
- Solder red/blue (rt/bl) lead of dynamic guidance wiring harness (1) to red/yellow (rt/ge) lead of standard wiring harness with solder connector.
- Solder brown (br) lead of dynamic guidance wiring harness to brown (br) lead of standard wiring harness with solder connector.
- Tie standard wiring harness together with insulating tape.
- Connect black connector to navigation processor (A40/3n2) and green connector to traffic data memory.
