	Remove
	Risk of explosion  caused by explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. 3	Remove coverings in trunk	Left side paneling. If a side wall paneling without access flap for the navigation processor has been installed, this must be replaced with a new one having an access flap.

4	Remove audio gateway control unit	Do not disconnect electrical lines and do not remove control units from the brackets.

	Install
5	Extend fiber optical cable ring for components to be retrofitted	Risk of breakage!  Do not kink optical waveguide, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm. Tensile forces on inserts must not exceed 65 N. Do not squeeze fiber optical cable and do not compress with clamps or tie straps.	AN82.64-P-0001-05MA
6	Install audio gateway control unit

9	Perform startup with STAR DIAGNOSIS.	Perform specified/actual configuration and enable navigation special equipment in the instrument cluster.
