Remove/install BAS diaphragm travel sensor - AR42.31-P-6002GI

MODEL 163.113 /128 /157 /172 /174 /175, 163.154 as of 1.9.98

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/Install     
1 Reduce pressure in brake booster by operating brake pedal several times    
2 Detach heat shield (1b) by unscrewing nut (19) from master brake cylinder TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA42.10-P-1001-05A 
3 Disconnect BAS diaphragm travel sensor connector (2) IMPORTANT To disconnect, press the release catch (arrow) on the underside of the plug.  
4 Remove locking ring (16b) IMPORTANT Use a suitable tool, e.g. angled scriber.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure locking ring is correctly seated.
 
5 Pull out BAS diaphragm travel sensor (A7/7b1) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Insert diaphragm travel sensor into groove and press in as far as the stop.  
6 Check O-ring (16c) and replace if necessary    
7 Install in the reverse order
