1 Activate service mode in Telematic Alarm Identification on Demand (emergency call system) (TELE AID) IMPORTANT Only on model 463.243/244/245/250/309/322/323/332/333 with code (ET2) Tele-Aid car telephone emergency call system, 463.247/248/254/270 up to 1.4.07 with code (ET2) Tele-Aid - car telephone emergency call system - AR82.95-P-0005-03GR

DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

2 Disconnect battery ground line IMPORTANTInstallation:  Code radio, set clock, normalize power windows and, set clock on stationary heater if installed.

8 Unscrew nuts (1) from rear HS [SIH] control unit (N25/6)    
9 Disconnect electrical connector (3)    
10 Remove rear HS [SIH] control unit (N25/6)    
11 Install in the reverse order    
12 Deactivate service mode in Telematic Alarm Identification on Demand IMPORTANT Only on model 463.243/244/245/250/309/322/323/332/333 with code (ET2) Tele-Aid -car telephone emergency call system, 463.247/248/254/270 up to 1.4.07

13 Read out fault memory and erase IMPORTANTIMPORTANT After work is complete, faults stored in the fault memory must be processed and erased. The stored faults may be caused by removed cables during installation or test operations as well as by simulation.  
  Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
14 Perform basic programming   AR00.19-P-0200P
INSPECT Checking     
15 Perform function check of seat heaters
