Removal & Installation

NOTE: Letters and numbers in parenthesis correspond to letters and numbers in illustrations.
NOTE: Protect painted surfaces from dripping brake fluid to prevent paint damage.
  1. Remove cap (1). See Fig 1 .
  2. Remove strainer from brake fluid reservoir (A).
  3. Suction brake fluid out of brake fluid reservoir.
  4. Unplug brake fluid sensor electrical connector (2).
  5. Unscrew mounting screw (3) of brake fluid reservoir.
  6. Remove brake fluid reservoir from brake master cylinder.
  7. Installation is the reverse of removal. Install new sealing rings. Before installing coat seals with brake fluid otherwise system may leak. Ensure sealing rings are fitted in the cover. Tighten nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Fill with fresh brake fluid. Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
