Front Caliper (Fixed & Floating): Disassemble

NOTE: Letters and numbers in parenthesis correspond to letters and numbers in illustrations.

1. Remove caliper. See BRAKE CALIPER (FRONT FIXED)  or BRAKE CALIPER (FRONT FLOATING)  .
2. Press off dust cap (45). See Fig 1 .
3. Insert metal segment (040) in brake caliper, then carefully press out caliper piston (47) as far as stop using compressed air.
4. Remove caliper piston using caliper piston turning pliers (020).
