REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes. Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid. AS42.50-Z-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects. Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
NOTES Notes on repairs to brake system   AH42.00-P-0003-01A
NOTES Brake fluid notes   AH42.50-P-0001-01A
1 Unscrew cap for brake fluid reservoir and pour in new brake fluid up to the "MAX" mark    
2 Connect filling and bleeding unit on brake fluid reservoir and switch on IMPORTANT Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions.
Brake fluid change unit with supply tank (10-20 l)
 
3 Remove the front wheels    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary   AP40.10-P-4050G
4 Carrying out bleeding operation NOTES The bleed sequence given in the linked specification must be adhered to, otherwise the brake system may malfunction! AR42.10-P-0010-02GG 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bleed screw on front axle fixed caliper *BA42.10-P-1001-02B 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bleed screw to rear axle wheel brake cylinder *BA42.10-P-1001-08A 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bleed screw on rear axle floating caliper *BA42.10-P-1001-17B 
5 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Checking     
DANGER Risk of accident  when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work Before starting engine, actuate brake pedal several times until the pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system. AS42.50-Z-0002-01A
6 Press brake pedal several times and check brake system for leaks IMPORTANT Firm resistance should be noticeable at the brake pedal. AR42.10-P-0100-01A 
7 Correct fluid level in brake fluid reservoir    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Hydraulic brake system - check fluid level, correct if necessary   AP42.50-P-4210G
