Multigrade oils of the specified SAE grade can be used all year round, taking the outside temperature into consideration. Before the onset of the cold-weather season and taking the temperature-based application chart shown opposite into consideration, make sure that the SAE grade that you are using is sufficient for the temperature range in which you operate the vehicle.

The low-temperature properties of engine oils can deteriorate significantly during operation as a result of, for example, aging, soot contamination and fuel contamination. An oil change before the onset of the cold-weather season with an approved engine oil in the suitable SAE grade is therefore strongly recommended.
