1 Remove spare tire (1) IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
2 Remove soft top frame Model 463.200/204/207,
Model 463.208 ## up to 108894,
Model 463.300/304/307,
Model 463.308 ## up to 108894
Mechanical soft top
AR77.33-P-1002G
3 Remove soft top retaining rail from upper body edge at window level Model 463.200/204/207,

4 Remove right side wall trim Model 463.200/204/206/207/208/209/300/304/307/308 ## up to 108895 mechanical soft top AR68.30-P-1450G

5 Remove rear wall paneling (A) Model 463.202/250/254/303/306/309  
6 Detach connector for center high-mounted stop lamp (X20/1) IMPORTANT For models with center high-mounted brake lamp.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Conduct function check of center high-mounted brake lamp.
 
7 Feed the stop lamp cable (B) through the rear panel IMPORTANT For models with center high-mounted brake lamp.  
8 Remove spare tire mount (2) on rear wall IMPORTANT Unscrew inner bolts (3).  
9 Remove retainer on gas-operated strut (4)    
10 Remove gas-operated strut (4) IMPORTANT The gas-operated strut (removed part) should be disposed of when replacing the gas-operated strut.  
REFER TO FORMS Degas and drain gas-operated strut OS00.00-P-1001-01A
11 Remove rear bumper Model 463.200/204/206/207/208/209/300/304/307/308 AR88.20-P-2200GG
Model 463.202/250/254/303/306/309 AR88.20-P-2200GR
12 Remove spare tire mount (2) at bottom IMPORTANT Unscrew bolts (5).  
13 Remove spare tire mount (2)    
14 Install in the reverse order
