  Drain     
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant. Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained. AS83.00-Z-0001-01A

IMPORTANT Notes on handling R134a refrigerant Air conditioning with refrigerant R134a AH83.30-N-0003-01A
1 Remove protective caps at the Schrader valves of the intake line (51c) and high pressure line (52b)    
2 Connect filling equipment IMPORTANT Connect filling unit to Schrader valve of intake line (52b) using blue connector, and connect to Schrader valve of high pressure line (51c) using red connector.

3 Discharge air conditioning system    
4 Drain separated refrigerant oil from the filling equipment and determine the exact quantity IMPORTANT The drained quantity must be replaced with fresh refrigerant oil when refilling.  
  Evacuating     
5 Clean and evacuate air conditioning system    
  Fill     
6 Replenish refrigerant oil IMPORTANT Drained quantity must be replaced with fresh refrigerant oil.
IMPORTANT Additional quantities of oil to be added when replacing refrigerant circuit components: ↓		  
FLUID SPECIFICATION Total filling quantity of compressor oil for new system (in refrigerant compressor) *BF83.30-P-1002-01A 
FLUID SPECIFICATION Compressor oil refill quantity when replacing condenser *BF83.30-P-1003-01A 
FLUID SPECIFICATION Refill quantity of compressor oil when replacing the accumulator *BF83.30-P-1004-01A 
FLUID SPECIFICATION Refill quantity of compressor oil when replacing a coolant line *BF83.30-P-1005-01A 
FLUID SPECIFICATION Compressor oil refill quantity when air conditioning system is suddenly evacuated (line break) *BF83.30-P-1006-01A 
7 Charge air conditioning system FLUID SPECIFICATION Capacity of refrigerant *BF83.30-P-1001-01A 
INSPECT Checking     
8 Check air conditioning system for leaks with leak detector Air conditioning system leak detector gotis://E_83_04.0   
9 Check air conditioning for proper operation IMPORTANT Run engine at idling speed for about 4 minutes and check all the component functions which are of relevance for proper operation of the air conditioning system.
