7	Remove center instrument panel cover (1)	First pull center instrument panel cover (1) down, then out of instrument panel at top The center instrument panel cover (1) is not screwed, only inserted Installation: Ensure that all retaining clips are completely present
8	Remove connectors from upper control panel control unit (N72/1) at rear	Two connectors on models 463.244/245/247/248/250/254/309/332/333 to 30.9.01. Three connectors on models 463.243/244/245/246/247/248/249/250/254/303/309/322/323/332/333/340/341 as of 30.9.01. Two connectors on model 463.248 with code 979 Special protection version.
9	Unlock connectors on AAC control and operating unit (N22) at rear and remove.
10	Remove center instrument panel cover (1)
11	Install in the reverse order
12	Deactivate service mode in TELE AID emergency call system	With code ET2 TeleAid car phone emergency call system	AR82.95-P-0005-03GR

13	Read out fault memory and erase	STAR DIAGNOSIS Stored faults which may be caused by removed cables or by a simulation, must be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work.
