Overhead control panel control unit, purpose - GF82.20-P-4101-02T

The overhead control panel control unit (N70) has the following tasks: 

• Control of the dimmer functions of the inside rearview mirror unit (A67) and the outside mirrors (if equipped)
• Control of interior lights
• Control of symbol lighting
• Control of "light ring" ambiance illumination with ELEGANCE and AVANTGARDE equipment

Reading in the integral switches: 

• Roof system switch (N70s1)
• Rear dome lamp switch (N70s2)
• Door contact ON and OFF switch (N70s3)
• Dome lamp ON and OFF switch (N70s4)
• Left front reading lamp switch (N70s6)
• Right front reading lamp switch (N70s7)
• SOS switch (S93/3s1) (if equipped)
• Towing sensor switch (S93/3s2)
• IMS [IRS] switch (S93/3s3)

Reading in sensors: 

• Rain/light sensor (B38/2)
• In-car temperature sensor (N70b1)

Reading in: 

• Components of the interior mirror unit (A67)

Actuating: 

• Ambient lamp (A67e3)
• Integral front dome lamp (N70e1), the left reading lamp (A67/ e1) and the right reading lamp (A67e2)

Voltage supply: 

• Rear interior lamp (E15/3)
• Left front vanity mirror illumination (E14/6)
• Right front vanity mirror illumination (E14/7)

The overhead control panel control unit (N70) is connected to the interior CAN bus for exchanging data.
