Remove/install soft top actuation hydraulic cylinder - AR77.37-P-4171QA

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of injury when performing check and repair work in area of roll bar Before working in the area of the roll bar, pull out the rear head restraints by hand. Keep body parts out of the area where the roll bar extends. AS91.00-Z-0003-01QA
DANGER Risk of injury caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush or  , in extreme cases even sever extremities. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when components are in motion. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing hydraulic fluid. Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. AS00.00-Z-0013-01A
1 Remove rear seat and rear seat backrest   AR91.12-P-1700QA
2 Remove left or right side paneling in rear   AR68.30-P-4780QA
3 Loosen sidebag unit in rear and lay down to side with electrical line connected Only on vehicles with code (293) right and left rear sidebag. AR91.60-P-0694QA
4 Partially close soft top IMPORTANT Leave soft top bow and soft top compartment cover in upright position  
5 Cover vehicle in rear area IMPORTANT To prevent scratching the paint during assembly work.  
6 Expose hydraulic lines (6) and (7) NOTES If necessary, detach cable tie and electrical lines to prevent lines from damage.  
7 Remove retainer (2) from bolt (1).    
8 Pull out pin (1)    
9 Remove retainer (4) from pin (3)    
10 Pull out pin (3)    
11 Remove hydraulic cylinder (5) with hydraulic lines (6, 7) connected and lay down to side    
12 Remove locking plates (8) from hydraulic lines (6) and (7)    
13 Pull hydraulic lines (6) and (7) out of hydraulic cylinder (5).    
14 Remove old sealing rings (9) from hydraulic cylinder (5) NOTES Remove old sealing rings (9) from hydraulic cylinder (5), otherwise old sealing rings (9) can be damaged when installing the hydraulic line (6) and (7) leading to leakage of the hydraulic system.  
15 Slide new sealing rings (10) onto hydraulic line (6, 7). IMPORTANT Coat new sealing rings (9) with hydraulic oil.  
Hydraulic fluids (Sheet 343.0) BB00.40-P-0343-00A
16 Install in the reverse order    
17 Check oil level of hydraulic line, correct if necessary
