- Separate the flat conductor cable in an angle of 90° using a suitable tool.
- Select the crimp contacts (1) in the
wiring harness repair kit.
- Open the crimp pliers. Fold down the crimp contact support (2) of the tool head, fit with the selected crimp contacts (1) and fold up the crimp contact support (2) of the tool head.
- Slide the flat conductor cable (7) against the crimp contact support (2) of the tool head, put the marked edge to the left or right of the adjusting stop (3) and align with the aid of the optical adjusting device (4). To do this, operate the button (5) for the optical adjusting device (4) and also detach the adjusting stop (3), move and tighten.

The flat conductor cable (7) must make contact with the crimp contact support (2) of the tool head and the correct edge of the flat conductor cable (7) must make contact with the adjusting stop (3), otherwise mounting and polarity of the crimp contacts (1) may be incorrect. Furthermore, the flat conductor cable (7) with the optical adjusting device (4) must be aligned so that the optical adjusting device (4) is fully visible between 2 conductor tracks.
The power supply battery of the optical adjusting device (4) can be replaced in case of requirement. It is located below a cover on the underside of the tool head.
- Squeeze crimp pliers until stop is reached and remove crimped connection.
The crimp pliers must be squeezed until stop is reached before they will open again.
