Prepare longitudinal member front section - AR62.20-P-1260-05CW

IMPORTANT If damaged severely, it is not necessary to cut longitudinal member front section (1) in area (A).

  1. Mark separation line on longitudinal member front section (1) (area A).

    IMPORTANT Transfer separation line from vehicle (area A).

  2. Separate longitudinal member front section (1) at separation point (area A).

  3. Grind mating surfaces on longitudinal member front section (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Grind mating surfaces on longitudinal member front section (1) down to bare metal from rear (arrows).

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  4. Grind mating surfaces on front cover (2) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  5. Coat insides of spot weld flange on longitudinal member front section (1) and front cover (2) with zinc dust paint.
  6. Grind mating surfaces on front end bracket (5) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  7. Coat insides of spot weld flange on front end bracket (5) with zinc dust paint
