Install and weld in longitudinal member front section - AR62.20-P-1260-07CW

Illustrated on model 204.0 

  1. 1.1 Install reinforcement bracket (4), fit and fix in place.

    IMPORTANT Only when replacing reinforcing bracket (4).

    IMPORTANT Center reinforcing bracket (4) on cutout for through hole (arrow).

  2. 1.2 Install longitudinal member front section (1) and front cover (2), fit and fix in place with straightening tool (3).
  3. 2.1 Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in reinforcing bracket (4) (areas A and B).

    IMPORTANT Only when replacing reinforcing bracket (4).

  4. 2.2 Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in front cover (2) (areas C and D).
  5. 3 Remove longitudinal member front section (1), front cover (2) and reinforcing bracket (4).
  6. 4 Deburr rivet holes on both sides
  7. 5.1 Install reinforcement bracket (4), rivet to front longitudinal member with Ø 6.4 x14 Polygrip flat/round head rivet (areas A and B).

    IMPORTANT Only when replacing reinforcing bracket (4).

  8. 6 Install longitudinal member front section (1), fit and fix in place with straightening tool (3).
  9. 7.1 Longitudinal member front section (1) SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (area J).

    IMPORTANT If damaged severely, weld longitudinal member front section (1) in area (J).

  10. 7.2 Longitudinal member front section (1) SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (area I).

  11. 7.1 Longitudinal member front section (1) SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (area J).

    IMPORTANT If damaged severely, weld longitudinal member front section (1) in area (J).

  12. 7.2 Longitudinal member front section (1) SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (area I).
  13. 8 Clean inner area of weld seam with coat with zinc dust paint.
  14. 9 Install front cover (2), fit and fix in place.
  15. 10 Rivet front cover (2) to reinforcement bracket (4) with Ø 6.4 x14 Polygrip flat/round head rivet (areas C and D).
  16. 11 Longitudinal member front section (1) and front cover (2) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas E, F, G and H).

    IMPORTANT Resistance spot weld longitudinal member front section (1) in areas (F and H) only in the event of severe damage.

  17. 12 Front cover (2) SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (area K).
  18. 13 Clean weld joints.
  19. 14 Install front end bracket (5), fit and fix in place with straightening tool.
  20. 15 Front end bracket (2) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas L, M and N).
