  1. Fit complete wheel well with rear fender and welding device and fasten.
  2. Install taillamp, trunk lid and striker eye.
  3. Check and adjust gaps:

    Rear fender to taillamp

    Trunk lid to top of rear fender

    Trunk lid cover to taillamp

    Trunk lid to taillamp

    Front door to rear fender

    IMPORTANT Use feeler gage.

  4. Remove trunk lid and rear fender.
  5. Drill dia. 6.5 mm rivet holes (areas J and K).
  6. Completely remove wheel well and deburr rivet holes on both sides.
  7. Apply MB body sealant to foam parts (areas I and J).

    IMPORTANT Remove and replace damaged foam parts.

  8. Install wheel well complete and fasten with clamping pliers and screw-on clamping gripper.
  9. Rivet wheel well complete with Polygrip flat head rivets, dia. 6.4 x 14 mm (areas J and K).
  10. Weld in wheel well complete with RP REFER TO SHOP-MADE TOOLS (areas C and H).

  11. Weld in wheel well complete with RP REFER TO SHOP-MADE TOOLS (areas D, E, F, G and I).
  12. Weld in wheel well complete with SG SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD (area L).
  13. Clean weld spots with a wire brush.
