Open engine hood, move to upright position and close - AR88.40-P-1000Q

  Opening     
DANGER Risk of injury  to fingers being jammed or squeezed  when removing and installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/tailgate or sliding roof. When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are within the operating range of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1 Pull lever (1) in driver's footwell to release engine hood    
2 Press handle (2) on engine hood and move engine hood to normal position (3a).    
  Moving to upright position     
3 Push red button and move engine hood to vertical position (3b). IMPORTANT Red button should engage completely.
IMPORTANT Until red button arrests on upper tube of gas pressure strut.
 
  Closing     
4 Lift engine hood slightly. Press red button and lower engine hood to normal position (3a) until button catches NOTESDamage hazard:  Red button must be pressed.
IMPORTANT Until red button arrests.
 
5 Close engine hood NOTES After closing, check engine hook lock for proper function.
