Vehicles fitted with three-way catalytic converter (TWC) must be operated only with unleaded fuels.

Minimum knock resistance 

Premium gasoline DIN 51607-S unleaded 95 RON/85 MON

Regular gasoline DIN 51607-N unleaded 91 RON/82.5 MON

The engines are designed for unleaded premium fuel of at least 95 RON/85 MON. If operated continuously with unleaded regular fuel, the ignition timing must be retarded by appropriately altering the position of the variable reference resistor to ensure knock-free operation.

A slight deterioration in fuel consumption and performance occurs if the ignition is retarded.
