Lifting vehicle with pit lift or workshop jack - AR00.60-P-1000-01P

Lifting up at the front 

NOTES In order to avoid damage to the steering, under no circumstances should the vehicle be raised at the rear cross traverse

  1. Position inspection pit lift or workshop jack at the jacking up sockets (1m) of the front cross traverse of the front axle carrier (1).
  2. Raise vehicle.

    NOTES Vehicles with 4MATIC

    If the front engine compartment cover is mounted,

    • a flat cap for the assembly lift/vehicle jack must be used, or
    • a suitable base must be placed on the bent cap,

    otherwise the front engine compartment cover will be damaged.

Raising vehicle at rear 

  1. Position inspection pit lift or workshop jack at the rear axle center assembly.
  2. Raise vehicle.
