- Clean the sealing surface on the end cover (54) and rear axle center assembly and coat with sealing compound.
- Fit end cover (54).
Rear axle center assembly with bolts with captive washers

- Fit bolts with captive washers and tighten

Tighten bolts with captive washers.

Rear axle center assembly with flange bolts
- Fit flange bolts and tighten
, stage 1.
Use flange bolts.
- Apply marking (a) bolt flanges to rear axle center assembly housing.
- Apply marking (b) offset by 45° to the rear axle center assembly housing.
- Tighten flange bolts with 45° swing angle, 2nd stage. The markings (a, b) must then match.
