Hissing/flowing noises at wheel lock - AF46.30-P-1140BG

MODEL 129, 202, 208, 210, 220 with ENGINE 112, 113

8.4.99 Replaces STIP no. 46.30-005 dated 26.3.99    
Damage code Cause Remedy  
46 531 36 Oil foaming in power steering pump reservoir possible. IMPORTANT To avoid incorrect removal maintain the following procedure when determining condition.  
   
  1. Check and correct oil level
 AP46.00-P-4611BB
    IMPORTANT Oil level below minimum ↓  
   
  1. 2.1 Check system for outer oil loss
  
   
  1. 3.1 Eliminate cause and correct oil level
  
    IMPORTANT Oil level okay ↓  
   
  1. 4.1 When engine is running check if steering oil circulates heavily or foams
  
    IMPORTANT Heavy oil movement recognizable ↓  
   
  1. 5.1 Remove/install/replace oil reservoir
