Secure oxygen generator (1) against falling down. |

Secure oxygen generator (1) against falling down. |

Remove oxygen generator (1). |
When removing oxygen generator (1) ensure that the valve and the activation tape (4) do not come into contact with other objects to prevent actuation. |

Drain empty oxygen generator (1) |
Drain empty oxygen generator (1) in protected area. Ensure that no ignition sources are present in the environment. Increased danger of fire.
Tightly clamp oxygen generator (1) (e.g. into vise) to drain empty and ensure that no objects are present in the vicinity of the valve to prevent damage by fire. The temperature during the combustion procedure is 260 to 300 °C.
Combustion duration approx. 15 minutes. |

Insert new oxygen generator (1) |
Insert new oxygen generator (1) so that the activation tape (4) is positioned at the top where it is easy to reach. |

Screw in right bolt (3) |
Secure oxygen generator (1) against falling down. |
|

Screw in left bolt (2) |
Secure oxygen generator (1) against falling down. |
|
| 9 |
Remove securing tape (5) |
Ensure that cotter pin (6) is removed completely. |
|
| 10 |
Check whether activation tape (4) is seated tightly. |
The cotter pin (8) of the activation tape (4) must be seated tightly in the eyelet intended for this purpose. The activation tape (4) must be fastened to the perforated plate on the oxygen generator (1) with two dots of glue. |

Check whether oxygen generator (1) is seated tightly. |
Oxygen generator (1) should not be seated loosely. If deficiencies occur, determine cause and eliminate error. |

Close stowage compartment flap (7). |

|
