	Removal/installation
1	Unclip rear ashtray (1) from ashtray housing (2)
2	Unclip ashtray housing (2) from center console (3)	2 catch lugs (arrows)
3	Remove cover (4) with rear compartment nozzle (5) from center console (3)		Figure
4	Disconnect rear compartment nozzle connectors (5)
5	Remove floor covering (6) from stowage compartment
6	Disconnect connector from stowage compartment illumination.
7	Disconnect connectors from telephone system.	Only with code 316 MB telephone, network D (D2B) in armrest Only with code 317 Portable CTEL, D-network (D2B) in armrest
8	Unscrew bolts (7), (2 each)
9	Remove selector lever handle (8)		AR27.60-P-0920-01A
10	Remove cover (9) for selector lever from center console (3)		Figure
11	Remove ashtray from front center console		AR68.20-P-2400M
12	Unscrew bolts (10).
13	Fold over left front and right front floor covering at side below instrument panel until bolts (11) are accessible
14	Unscrew bolts (11).
15	Lift rear center console (3) and move out to instrument panel	Slightly pull right and left side center console toward outside
16	Disconnect connectors from center console (3)
17	Remove center console (3)
18	Install in the reverse order
