Installing taxi two-way radio antenna - AN82.71-P-1000-06M

Model 220 

1. Mask rear area of roof over large area with masking tape or foil from top.
2. Mark antenna hole (21) centered on roof with dimension (h = 174 mm).
3. Drill out antenna hole (21) to 18 mm dia. bit.

4. Install antenna (A2/49) in roof, align in vehicle longitudinal direction and press onto roof lightly.
5. Mark hole for locating pin (dimension x) and drill with 6 mm dia. bit.

   When drilling the holes do not damage paintwork or roof. Do not remove drilling chips with magnet. Coat bare points on body around holes with primer.

6. Remove backing foil from antenna base.
7. Position antenna and align.

8. Screw antenna down from inside. Route two-way radio antenna (A2/49a3) connection to right and fasten with felt (arrow).

9. Route antenna leads for GPS and telephone through right C-pillar into right side of trunk.
10. Connect antenna leads (arrows) depending on vehicle version in the same way as the standard antenna leads removed previously. On vehicles without telephone, TELE AID or COMAND simply tie back the antenna leads on the right side of the trunk.
