20.3.04	Oil filler screw and oil drain screw changed on rear axle center assembly	as of 19.01.04 The oil filler screw and oil drain screw must always be replaced with new screws after removal. Clean new oil filler and drain screws as well as the threaded holes with a special cleaning agent and apply special sealing compound	BT35.31-P-0015-01A
	Always replace oil filler screw after unscrewing rear axle center section The new oil filler screw as well as the tapped hole must be cleaned with a special cleaning spray and the oil filler screw provided with a special sealing compound	Only carry out the oil level check at interior temperature. 	Remove
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1	Raise vehicle.
2	Remove left or right rear axle shaft (37)		AR35.30-P-0620GG
3	Using a wide screwdriver, lever radial sealing ring (32) out of rear axle center assembly (50).
	Install
4	Using drift (049b) press new radial sealing ring into rear axle center assembly (50)	Coat lip of new radial sealing ring (32) with Universal hypoid gear oil.

5	Replace circlip (37o) and replace rear axle shaft (37)		AR35.30-P-0620GG
	Check
6	Check oil level in rear axle center assembly and correct if necessary	Mixing of old universal hypoid gear oil and the new FE hypoid gear oil should be avoided due to the better fuel economy.	AR35.31-P-0520-03I
