Disassembling Countershaft
- 1 - Remove circlip (1).
- 2 - Press off constant-mesh gear (2).
- 3 - Press off 6th gear fixed gear (3).

Clamp the countershaft in a vise with jaw protectors.NOTE: Output end pointing downwards.
- 5 - Remove 3rd gear idler gear (4) and 3rd gear needle roller bearing (5).
- 6 - Remove clutch body (6) and friction ring (7).
- 7 - Remove synchronizer cone ring (8) and synchronizer ring (9).
- 8 - Remove locking ring (12) using pliers.
- 9 - Use extractor and law to remove the 4th gearwheel (19) together with the 3rd/4th gear synchronizer assembly (30) (arrows).
- 10 - Remove 3rd/4th gear synchronizer body (30).
- 11 - Remove synchronizer ring (17), synchronizer cone ring (18) and friction ring (19).
- 12 - Remove clutch body (20) and 4th gear wheel (21).
- 13 - Remove 4th gear needle bearing (22).
- 14 - Release the countershaft from vise.
