ASSEMBLE

1 - Mount support plate (071) on assembly stand (070). See Fig 1 - Fig 3 .
Special tool: Support Plate (140 589 34 63 00). See Fig 4.

Special tool: Assembly Stand (116 589 06 59 00). See Fig 5.
2.1 - Knock dowel pins out of flange of front section of transmission housing.
NOTE: Dowel pins are not installed in all transmissions.

NOTE: Upon installation: Hammer dowel pins approximately 10 mm into the front section of transmission housing.
3 - Swivel support plate (071) to horizontal position.
Special tool: Support Plate (140 589 34 63 00). See Fig 4
4 - Raise transmission on support plate (071) with help of an assistant.
5 - Align mounting bores (arrows) in transmission housing with bores in support plate (071) and fasten transmission to support plate (071).
Torque specification: Transmission to assembly stand support plate. See COMPLETE MANUAL TRANSMISSION .
