09 175 52	Defective hot film mass air flow sensor	1 Remove/install/replace hot film mass air flow sensor When checking the hot film mass air flow sensors subject to complaint, we noted a high degree of damage to the hot film mass air flow sensor (diaphragm). The damage is caused by particles, particularly from sand These particles get into the hot film mass air flow sensor due to leakage in the intake filter system. When working on the air intake system, particularly after replacing the filter or cleaning the filter, always observe the following: Air filter seal should not be damaged. Air filter box cover should not be distorted Correct installation of air filter and air filter box cover. Cleanliness in intake line (pure air side).
		The high measuring accuracy of the hot film mass air flow sensor requires that the air filter system operate properly. Proper assembly is the prerequisite for proper long-term function of the mass air flow sensor.
