Modifications to the bolted connections have been phased in as of 10/97.

The locking method has been changed from micro-encapsulation to serrations under the bolt head, and the surface protection changed from a phosphate (gray) to a dacromet coating (silver or blue). This has resulted in changes to the tightening torques.
