- Clean painted adhesive surfaces on body flange with cleaner from repair kit and rub dry with clean, lint-free rag.
- Cut glue residues off of Vario roof with
cutting blade.
- If glue residues on body flange are damaged or missing, apply primer to gluing area with felt applicator.
- Coat damaged spots to paint on body flange, which are not covered with glue, with primer.
To avoid poor adhesion when installing glass panel ensure that the adhesive surfaces of the body flange are free of dust, oil, grease, wax and other anti-adhesive constituents or contamination residues.
Leave a maximum of 2 mm of glue residue. Pull off loose glue (residues not completely cut off).
Allow primer to air-dry for at least 5 minutes.
