Cutting switch openings in cover - AR68.20-P-2030A: Notes

REMOVING Removal     
1 Remove cover to be machined    
  Machining     
2 Mask painted cover surface NOTES in area of desired switch opening with paper adhesive strip.  
3 Coarsely mark cutting position    
4 Prepare locating mount (15) and copy template (16, 17) according to cover type and desired switch opening COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS Universal copy cutter with router (3 single-lip cutters ø 5x60mm, 2 single-lip cutters ø 5x90mm, copy templates, locating mounts for models 170, 202, 208, 210, 463). *WH58.30-Z-1011-20A 
    IMPORTANT If the copy templates and locating mounts are not included in the universal copy cutter with router, use supplementary sets.  
    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS Supplementary set for locating mount (model 170) *WH58.30-Z-1012-20A

5 Insert locating mount (15) from bottom into cover IMPORTANT Observe vehicle model and installation location of cover.  
6 Insert locating mount (15) with cover into pins of locating and clamping block IMPORTANT Position of desired switch cutout should be visible from top through the locating and clamping device.  
7 Clamp locating and clamping device (1) against upper plate DANGER Do not tighten handwheel (3) too tight so that cover does not distort.  
8.1 Insert black copy template (16) into dowel pins of locating and clamping device (1). IMPORTANT Model 140, 463 up to 31.07.89 with old switch generation  
9.1 Cut out switch opening with manual router (2) IMPORTANT Model 140, 463 up to 31.07.89 with old switch generation AR68.20-P-2030-01A 
    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS *WH58.30-Z-1011-20A 
10.1 Remove black copy template (16) IMPORTANT Model 140, 463 up to 31.07.89 with old switch generation  
11 Insert light-colored copy template (17) into dowel pins of locating and clamping device (1)    
12 Cut out switch opening with manual router (2) and turn table depth stop   AR68.20-P-2030-01B 
    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS *WH58.30-Z-1011-20A 
13 Remove cover and paper adhesive tape    
14 Blacken visible cutting areas on cover with black felt pen    
REMOVING Installation     
15 Install cover
