Converting side paneling - AZ88.00-P-0001-04J

Preparation 

  1. Remove vehicle jack plug (C).
  2. Remove standard side paneling.
  3. Remove sealing strip from door bottom edge.
  4. Install clip H WA202 988 01 81 on bottom of vehicle (ensure that all claws spread).
  5. Install vehicle jack plugs (C) included.

  6. Final assembly 

  7. Pull in catch strap for rocker panel cover.
  8. Degrease fender in gluing areas (A) and (B) and glue on tufted strips

  9. Press AMG snaps (E) in entrance area, reinforce first and last snaps with grommet (F) in addition.

  10. Remove protective layer from hook strap in rocker panel and ensure, that all hooks are exposed.
  11. Apply glue to front and rear side paneling in groove (below hook strap) intended for this purpose.
  12. Hook side paneling in at front fender with mounting lug and firmly press hook strap into tufted strip starting at front.
  13. In the entrance area fasten side paneling with Philips screws and in vehicle floor area (front) with spreading rivets and screws.
  14. Clean gluing surface in entrance area. Remove backing foil from self-adhesive cover foil and use to cover screws.
  15. Clip in AMG cover strips.
  16. Clean bottom edge of door.
  17. Carefully move sealing strips together with clips (A) into holes starting at hinge side, do not hammer or hit.
  18. When all clips (A) are caught carefully catch pins (B) into clips (A).
