SRS malfunction indicator lamp, purpose - GF91.60-P-4011-01GC

Models 129, 140, 168, 170, 202, 208, 210, 215, 220

The airbag indicator and warning lamp (A1e15)  indicates that the supplemental restraint system is ready for operation.

When no faults are present in the system, the indicator and warning lamp comes on when the ignition or glow/starter switch is turned to or past position "1" and goes out after approx. 4 - 20 s.

An error or malfunction is indicated in the supplemental restraint system by the indicator and warning lamp not coming on when the switch is turned to position "1" or not going out after 4 - 20 s.

Errors and malfunctions not endangering passenger protection are indicated by the indicator and warning lamp burning for a longer period (approx. 2 min.) when the ignition/starter switch or glow/starter switch is turned past position "1".

Errors and malfunctions which can lead to erroneous actuation of the safety elements or failure to actuate are indicated while driving by the indicator and warning lamp burning continuously.

IMPORTANT In the case of an error or a malfunction the entire system should be checked according to the diagnosis instructions with the HHT or corresponding diagnosis tool. The mechanical protective function of the three-point seatbelt is not affected by an error or a malfunction in the supplemental restraint system and is always available.
