75 004 04	Leaks in the trunk	1 Precisely locate leaks in the trunk by performing a water penetration test.
	Because of leaks in the trunk, water can run along the electric or pneumatic lines into the PSE pump. This results in the following:	Possible leaks in the trunk →	AF80.00-P-4001-01A
	Water leaks into the pump for the pneumatic control unit (PSE) Corrosion of the plug Malfunction in the central locking system Malfunction in the anti-theft alarm system	2 Seal the trunk.
		3 Rotate PSE pump 180°. By rotating the pump, the lines lengthen and form a loop and the water that would run down the lines would then drip off at the lowest point of the loop. As of September 2002 (VIN 280000) the PSE pumps are being installed in the 180° rotated position in the series production.	AR80.20-P-2710G
