Anti-theft alarm (ATA) diagnosis operational check actual value/actuations - AD80.50-P-3001A

MODEL 170 with CODE (491) U.S. version with CODE (551a) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA) 

MODEL 170 as of 1.6.97 with CODE (551a) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA) 

MODEL 170 as of 1.10.99 with CODE (551a) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA) with CODE (882a) Interior motion sensor (infrared) 

  Anti-theft alarm system (ATA) diagnosis, previous knowledge   AD80.50-P-2000A 
I Fuses in order    
II Battery voltage 11-14 V    
III Ignition ON     
IV Connect the Hand-Held Tester in accordance with the connection diagram   AD80.50-P-2000-05A 
  Operational check     
  Retrieve actual values:  (in operation)
  • All door contacts including engine hood, trunk lid and glove box
  • Ignition
  • Service brake
 IMPORTANT Menu guided by the Hand-Held Tester
Four options are available:
√ F ON OFF		  
 
  • ATA interior compartment protection / anti-tow-away system / status indicator switch
 The specified values remain constant in contrast to the fault memory even while diagnosis is updated, so that, for example, when moving components, plug connections or cable harnesses an occasional existing fault can be determined  
  Activate actuation: 
  • Alarm signal horn or alarm signal siren
  • Headlamps or flashing warning lights
  • Status indicator
  • Interior actuation sensor
